I started out overweight, frustrated and uneducated about fitness….
Now, I’m the top Pioneering Personal Trainer in the Bay Area…Here’s how it all started…

My passion for fitness and teaching others everything I have ever learned is alive and kicking, but that wasn’t always the case.

In fact, like most people, I needed to get fed up with where I was compared to where I wanted to be to finally get off my butt and do something about it.

Personal training started for me with a sense of urgency to regain the athlete I had buried years ago after my college career ended.

I gained over 20 pounds, stopped working out, and I can even remember sweating profusely as I climbed up 2 flights of stairs to my apartment. All I kept thinking was, “Dude you are seriously out of shape!”

I know this might not sound like much, but when you are a top college athlete and playing high level sports with a shot at making it to the pros, it eats at you like nothing else.

I finally decided to get myself in gear and use my passion for sports and fitness training to jump start a new career path that would benefit my health and those that were struggling with their weight or just didn’t know where to start or how to get back into the shape they used to be.

Learning about performance training from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) really opened my eyes to the many muscle groups I had neglected to train throughout my sports career. Balance, core strengthening and control, muscle recruitment, and correcting postural deviations took my body control and performance to all new heights!

You just don’t learn these things from coaches and teachers in school. If I had known the information I have now, training my body would have helped to improve my game ten fold.

My two main passions for being a personal trainer have been seeing lives transform right before my eyes and teaching athletes what I would have always wanted to know, but never knew existed.

This is what keeps me learning and longing for new techniques to incorporate within each person’s individualized program. There is a lot of good information out there to be considered when it comes down to body performance and function. I feel it’s my responsibility to acquire this knowledge and apply the most effective ideas and techniques to each individual.
