I like to install good habits inside of the gym and also directly into your house. With nutritional coaching inside your home, I am able to provide a more accurate assessment of what needs to be thrown out, boxed up and replaced within your refrigerator, cabinets, and drawers. This assessment includes grocery shopping tutorials to ensure a greater chance for success right where you buy everything. There’s no need for journaling, point systems, or buying any more books about dieting that will just end up collecting dust! I’ll get you pointed in the right direction from day one.

 
State Of The Art Technology

In order to be the best in the industry, I needed to utilize the best tools out on the market for weight loss. One such device you wear like an iPod and it deals with a collection of sensors that measure such things as motion, body heat and sweat 32 times per second, then runs the data through an algorithm. The company says the calorie estimate is better than 90% accurate. What does this mean to you? Well, an accurate account for measured movement and intensity throughout the day. The beauty of the way that I approach each individual and their exercise programs is that I can recognize fitness ability, prior experience, past injuries, and postural deviations right away. If your current or past trainer doesn’t have that ability then there is a serious problem! This allows your body to start at a level suited to match its ability. To lose weight, we need to move. Cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength and endurance, and a commitment to consistency play crucial roles in moving that scale down. Challenging workouts will never exceed your capabilities; they will only progress you beyond prior limitations.

Unique Methods

Fitness and performance training all started with the many sports I’ve been a part of over the years. I’ve been on a quest to find the next area of fitness training that would really push my body to its limits. This quest has been the catalyst to my innovative system of individual intensity training. Much like every individual has unique needs that need to be met, I have devised a program that can place any person within a very specific arrangement of flexibility, balance, core, muscle strength, cardiovascular, and performance-based exercises. These methods consist of accurately assessing the individual’s abilities and surrounding them with a specific assortment of exercises that is matched by intensity, and covers all areas for improvement. This is not simply a system based on conventional weight lifting and repetition counting; I use a lot of bodyweight, balance, and core techniques that are often more intense and challenging than one may expect.

 
My Training Influences

I have a very diverse track record of influences that I am on a mission to expand further. These influences include but aren’t limited to: Sports Performance Training (college football for T.I.U., basketball, baseball, rugby, golf, swimming, gymnastics and soccer), CrossFit modalities such as their incorporation of gymnastic and bodyweight training, rehabilitative exercises passed down from licensed Physical Therapists, plyometrics and speed training acquired from training with San Jose City College Track Team, kettlebell training workshops taught by top professionals in the field, boxing and martial arts concepts applied from previous experience, and yoga flexibility and core control from other specialized trainers. Basically if there is a way to improve any body kinesthetic action, I am on a quest to learn and conquer.

From my years of experience, I have acquired a very extensive amount of exercises that I utilize to match with each individual. Sports-specific exercises, rehabilitative exercises, core and balance exercises, working with any and all exercise equipment, kettlebell exercises, gymnastic ring exercises, tractor tire and sledgehammer exercises – you name it and I’ve probably done it! I will take care of all the arrangements for location whether we train at a local park, nearby gym, business location, or personal residence. All I need to know is where the most convenient area would be for us to meet, and I will take care of the rest. My plan for you – the client – is to eliminate excuses and make for seamless transitions all across the board. The Competition

Let’s give the other guys a shot! What kind of service can you expect to receive from major gym chain personal trainers and studios? That’s a fair question. Granted there are very qualified personal trainers in these gyms; however, what you are more likely to encounter is an entry-level trainer who has no college education, certifications that are good for learning the absolute basics to human anatomy and biomechanics, no applied knowledge or previous experience working with clients post-rehabilitation, basically just a friendly face that will move you around the gym from machine to machine. Hey, it’s a roll of the dice and, yes, they may be a whole lot cheaper. Just ask yourself – do you want to leave your results up to chance, or are you willing to make a commitment to an action plan that works and leaves no question in the back of your mind.

 
My Availability

This is simple. When you hire me, I will do whatever and go wherever I need to, to get you on a consistent weekly schedule with me. I will fit into your busy life and ridiculous work schedule – trust me! If your program calls for you to train twice a day, two hours in a row, five days a week, whatever the case – we will do what is necessary to make it happen. I am available and ready to start!

I am serious about limiting the number of clients I service every month because it allows for me to raise the bar even higher for the clients that do have a chance to train with me that particular month. I never want you to feel rushed or guilty about changing your busy schedule around to fit mine. All my focus and energy will pour into each one of our sessions together. Learn More Than What Your Coach Taught You

The first thing I bring to the surface with all the athletes I train is what they do well and what needs improvement. Now, your coach is conditioned to break down film and show you what you need to be doing in order to gain a quicker response, explosive power, faster time and a better body position on the field. The problem is, if you don’t apply these same concepts to your strength training program during the season, or especially in the offseason, you’ll never reach your body’s true potential. I teach techniques that improve balance, core strength, proprioception (spacial awareness), muscle activation, explosive fast twitch responses, pure speed, and overall quickness within your strength training program.

 
Exposing Weakness

Posture is a very important factor when looking into enhancing performance for a particular sport. Your muscles need to remain in a state known as reciprocal inhibition. This allows muscles that oppose each other to engage and disengaged sequentially to produce coordinated movement. In order to prevent injury and allow for fluid movement, we need to look at what muscles need to be stretched and strengthened in order to achieve this.

 
Generic Chalkboard Programs

Let me just tell you that natural talent can only get you so far in the world of sports. It’s ignorant to think even the best athletes in the world just stuck to what the coaching staff told them to do, and team workouts designed with everyone in mind. The best of the best went above and beyond what the coaches and team asked of them with their workouts. Not everyone has what it takes to make it, but why not reach your body’s true potential and go from there?

 
Sports-Specific Exercises

Given that I take a holistic approach to my personal training programs, I do focus intensively on exercises and routines that apply repetitions to movements very specific to your particular sport. For example, I would focus on shoulder strength and rotation while maintaining fluid range of motion with a baseball pitcher intensively. I would also work on power from the legs when they go to push off the mound, and twisting core strength that would all contribute to increasing the ball’s velocity. This would all have exercises included in the program that took the baseball player through these types of movements focused solely on desired skill improvements.
